K’era Morgan of K-apostrophe
K’era is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist and textile designer. Her work explores the subconscious process of the stories all human beings tell themselves on a constant basis pulling bits and pieces from the world around them to create their own personal narrative. Using and repurposing cast off papers and substrates, K’era layers her collages with a variety of mediums through painting and mark-making, to create a new visual story... and much like life, her pieces are full of color and texture. Her work is also the basis for her ever growing collection of home textile accessories that include pure cotton throw blankets, decorative pillows and tapestries all woven in collaboration with craftsmen based in the hill country of the Carolinas. She has recently expanded her production to include working with a weaving collective in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Her collage paintings as well as her textile goods can be found in independent boutiques, private residences and art collections around the world.K’era has collaborated with brands like HERS, Revival Rugs, Saatchi Art and West Elm to name a few.
Mary and Sarah Williams of MarieSalah
Mary and Sarah are sisters who are also best friends. The two work together on how to make the world a better place whether that be through art, skin care, writings, etc. They believe life has its challenges but adding beauty around ones surrounding can help bring peace. Being African American, introverted, and women came with its own challenges growing up. However these two sisters live by the philosophy their late grandfather shared with them, " the most important thing in life is peace of mind"
